Frequently Asked Questions about Campground St. Regis

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is 1:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM. If you need an early check-in or late check-out, please call ahead and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

When is the latest I can check-in to your park?

8:00 PM MST is the latest we accept guest check-in. Due to safety and courtesy to our guests we limit our check-in time to before dark. Late check-ins must be approved by the office. Please note, when coming from the west PST changes to MST so add an hour to your planning.

Do you take reservations?

Yes! We highly recommend making a reservation, especially during peak summer months (June–August). You can call us toll-free at 1-888-247-8734 or locally at (406) 649-2470 to book your site.

What type of hookups do you offer?

We offer a mix of 50/30/20-amp full hookups with water and sewer, 50/30/20-amp with water, and 20-amp with water. All sites have both power and water. (We do not have dry-sites).

Do you have large pull-through sites for big rigs?

Campground St. Regis features large, deeply shaded 100-foot pull-thru RV sites with full 50-amp hookups, perfect for large big-rig configurations.

Are pets allowed?

Absolutely! We love furry family members. We have a fenced off-leash dog park where your pup can run free, plus pet-friendly walking paths throughout the park. All we ask is that pets remain on a leash outside the designated off-leash area and that owners clean up after them.

Do you have a dog park on-site?

Yes! Campground St. Regis features a dedicated, grassy, and beautifully shaded off-leash dog park right on-site. It is the perfect safe space for your pets to run and play after a long drive. We are a proudly pet-friendly campground.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes — we offer free park-wide Wi-Fi so you can stay connected. While it's great for browsing, email, and light streaming, bandwidth can vary depending on site location and park occupancy.

Do you have a swimming pool?

Yes. Our heated outdoor pool is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM during the operating season (May 1 – Labor Day). The water is kept at a comfortable 80°F.

Do you have laundry facilities?

Yes, we have a modern coin-operated laundry facility with washers and dryers on site, located near the restrooms. Laundry opens at 9:00AM and closes at 8:00PM. Please have your last load in by 6:00PM to finish by 8.

Do you have an RV dump station on-site?

Yes. Campground St. Regis features a clean, easily accessible RV dump station. To ensure availability and maintain a pristine facility for our visitors, use of the dump station is strictly reserved for registered overnight guests only. We do not offer public drive-in dumping.

Can registered guests have visitors?

Yes. Visitors are welcome, but they must check in at the office before entering the park and are expected to leave by 9:00 p.m. unless the office has approved a later visit. To keep the park peaceful and enjoyable for all guests, visitors may not use park amenities — including the pool — unless advance arrangements have been made with management.

What is your campfire and firewood policy?

Every site at Campground St. Regis features its own dedicated fire pit for your enjoyment. In support of Montana's invasive species initiative, outside firewood is strictly prohibited and cannot be brought into our campground. Instead, safe, local firewood is available for purchase at our general store and will be delivered directly to your site. Guests are welcome to use propane fire pits, and we ask that everyone strictly observe Mineral County fire restrictions during dry summer conditions.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your scheduled arrival receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a one-night charge. Please call us if your plans change — we're happy to work with you.

What are quiet hours?

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. We ask all guests to keep noise levels down during these hours so everyone can enjoy a peaceful night's rest.

Is the park open year-round?

Campground St. Regis is open seasonally from May 1 through September 30. We close for the winter due to Montana's snowy conditions, but we look forward to seeing you when the weather warms up!

Can I ride my ATV or UTV directly from the campground?

Absolutely. Guests enjoy direct ATV and UTV trail ride-out access right from the park straight onto the Route of the Olympian and regional Lolo National Forest trails. To keep our park quiet, safe, and family-friendly, motorized trail vehicles must be driven at a low speed and are strictly limited to entering and exiting the park only. Recreational joyriding inside the campground loops is not permitted.

Do you accommodate adventure motorcyclists riding the Montana BDR?

Yes! Campground St. Regis is an ideal basecamp or overnight stop for riders on the Montana Backcountry Discovery Route (MTBDR). Located right off I-90, we offer deeply shaded tent sites with excellent, flat ground, as well as full-hookup sites if you are trailering your bikes. Motorcyclists love our pristine, hot showers to wash off the trail dust, our on-site laundry facilities, and our direct access to fuel and local dining in St. Regis.

Do you have a general store?

Yes — our general store carries Montana-made goods, camping essentials, snacks, ice, cold drinks, and firewood. It's open daily during the season.

Your rules say no tents are allowed on your full-hookup pull through RV sites. Are screened gazebos or pop-up screen rooms OK?

Yes, screened gazebos and pop-up canopy tents are fully permitted on all of our sites, provided they do not have an attached floor. This floorless requirement helps protect and preserve our grass areas for future guests.
